Course Details

This exclusive workshop offers the opportunity to conduct a real world case study with the Sony A9.

Professional photographer and Sony Ambassador Terry Donnelly will be the course lead. Based in the Liverpool area, Terry is a licensed Premier League, EFL Media accredited photographer. He is recognised by the FRPS, FSWPP, FBPE, MPAGB and EFIAP. His recent awards include Pictorial and Fine Art Photographer of the Year 2016 and Media Documentary Photographer of the Year 2016.

During the day attendees will hear more about Terry's journey with the Sony mirrorless system and he will give real world examples of how he has implemented the Sony A9. Attendees will also be encouraged to test out the Sony A9 during a live demonstration by World Guiness Record Holder Matti Hemmings on his BMX stunt bike. Furthermore, other Sony Alpha cameras and lenses will available to test throughout the day.

Terry Donnelly

Terry is a professional sports photographer working in top flight sporting events including football in the English Premier League, championship gymnastics and professional horse racing. His work is regularly used in National and International publications for editorial and commercial content.


Terry has been awarded Fellowships in photography with The Royal Photographic Society (FRPS), The Societies (FSWPP), British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE), and a Masters from The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) and has had work exhibited in over 25 countries, and received over 230 international awards, including 13 best author awards in international photography exhibitions.


Terrys portfolio also encompasses, portraiture, landscape and creative works and is reflected in him being awarded Pictorial and Fine Art Photographer of the year 2016and Media and Documentary Photographer of the year 2016by the Societies which adds to several photographer of the year awards that have been awarded in previous years.


Being a regular invited international photography judge and selector, Terry is well placed for mentoring photographers in their development as well as those working towards gaining distinction awards, and regularly mentors photographers both privately and for photographic organisations.


Terry is a regular writer for industry magazines and is well known for running photography workshops and delivering lectures at trade shows and to photography organisations.
