Terms and conditions for Calumet Academy
“Course” refers to any seminar, workshop or event run by Calumet Photographic.
1.1 By registering and paying for a course you agree to the terms and conditions.
1.2 When registering for a seminar or workshop, the attendee is expected to be aware of their current level of competence for that chosen subject. If during the course the attendee is found not to be competent enough, there will be no refund of the cost of the course, and the attendee may be asked to leave.
2. Cancellation by the Attendee
2.1 Cancellation must be made in writing and sent to email@example.com. Cancellation up to 15 days before the start of the course will incur a £25 administration fee.
For cancellations within 14 days of the start of the course, 50% of course fees will be charged. Calumet Photographic will not offer a refund if the attendee does not appear on the day of the seminar or cancel within 48 hours of the start of the course. The cancellation period starts from the date of the cancellation request email from the attendee. Transfers to an alternative date cannot be made within 14 days of the course.
If the attendee’s place is taken by a substitute then no additional fees will be charged.
3. Cancellation or Postponement by Calumet Photographic
3.1 Calumet Photographic is entitled to cancel a seminar if there are insufficient attendees. If a course cannot proceed, or has to be delayed, Calumet Photographic will contact attendees as soon as possible prior to the event in question. In the event Calumet Photographic has to cancel a workshop, for any reason, the extent of Calumet Photographic’s liability is limited to the return of the original fees paid.
3.2 Calumet Photographic is entitled to change a course date up to two days before an event. The attendee will be informed either by e-mail or phone and has the choice to decide if the new course date is suitable, or whether they want to cancel. No cancellation fees will be charged if the attendee cannot transfer to the new date, and a full refund will be made.
3.3 Calumet Photographic is entitled to change/replace the course leader due to sickness of the leader or any other unforeseen circumstances. Calumet Photographic will either replace them with another suitable leader, or the course will be cancelled or postponed. In the case of cancellation by Calumet Photographic, any course fees paid will be refunded or arrangements will be made for an alternative date. Calumet Photographic’s liability is limited to the return of the original fees paid.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 The full amount must be paid at the point of booking the course. Attendees may pay with most major credit or debit cards directly on the site, over the phone or in any of Calumet Photographic’s stores.
5.1 All course materials and supporting documentation are copyrighted and may not be copied, reproduced or published. Shooting in image/video and/or sound of a (part of) a course or training is prohibited. It is also prohibited during the course, or parts, to use software for multiplication and/or make this material available to third parties.
5.2 Parking fees, if any, shall be borne by the attendee.
5.3 Your details will be passed to the speaker holding the course.
6.1 All workshop attendees accept full responsibility for personal injury and/or personal losses during the period of the course.
