Street and Documentary
Come and spend a summers day in the most beautiful city in the world.
Paris is one of my favourite cities to shoot in - it has everything that a photographer would want in a city; Iconic landmarks, historic buildings, broad panoramas and romantic cobbled streets, all forming a background to the vibrant street life that goes on within. I have lived in the city and also run this workshop many times before so I can put you in the right place at the right time and show you how to get some fantastic photographs. So join me for a day as I take you around the city of light visiting familiar and unusual places.
The way I run my workshops means I can cater for all abilities; from enthusiastic amateurs who simply enjoy wandering around a beautiful city taking pictures, to those who want to sell their work adding to their stock and travel photo libraries. I hold Stock and Travel photography seminars for Calumet and can also advise on these markets during the day if you wish.
The fee for a full day of organisation, photography, guidance and tuition around the city is £99. You then have to book and pay for your own Eurostar tickets separately. Booking ahead means you can get a great fare but these reasonable train tickets do not hang around and the price goes up nearer the date so book sooner rather than later if you want to get them.
We will be catching the 7.55am from St Pancras arriving 11:24am on Wednesday July 5th and returning from Gare du Nord the same day at 20:13pm arriving back at 21:39pm. You are welcome to take any earlier or later trains if that suits you better and meet there. Some people may want to travel out the day before or return the day after, spending the night in Paris and making a weekend of it. Currently the return fare is £79.00 but the price increases as the seats sell so if you would like to come along book sooner rather than later.
Please note the workshop officially starts at Gare du Nord at 11:24am and finishes back at that station at 8:13pm. Please arrange suitable travel/medical insurance for yourself. The day will involve a fair amount of walking - so a reasonable amount of fitness is essential. Lunch, metro tickets and any entrance to monuments are not included in the cost of the workshop.
Equipment: Travel light as you will be carrying everything all day. A body and 24-105mm (FF) or equivalent should be absolutely fine for most subjects. A wide angle zoom can be useful as can a polarising filter. Any questions ? email: firstname.lastname@example.org
